Beaters (Single Drum Beater)

All of our drums come with a fantastic beater included. Our drum beaters are designed for best ergonomics, long play and sound flexibility.

Some beaters on the market are made with raw branches with bark and rabbit fur. Yes the beaters can look good, but generally we find that these sort of beaters are not great to play with during extended plays as they are not always well balanced in your hand and can be awkward to handle and use after several minutes of play.
Our beaters have been designed with several things in mind:

Our beater handles are made of hard wood or semi hard wood for longer live expectancy, and handles are straight, round and sanded down to a perfectly smooth surface. Ideal to hold for extended periods.

The solid wood handle is longer than many beaters, this is to allow you to hold the beater either in the centre of the handle for faster, tighter playing, or at the end for louder or more relaxed play.

The handles are well balanced and are not heavy on the wrist. 

A longer handle also means that you can easily play smaller drums with ease but also bigger diameter drums such as 20~24” diameter or oval drums and reach all parts without stretching your arms.

The tip of the beater is usually finished with two material types. Felt on the one side for softer more muffled tones, and a PU leather on the reverse for more attack and brighter sound.

Our beaters will be randomly selected (colours and wood finish varies). Your drum beater is included with your drum when you buy one of our drums.
You can also order beaters on their own if you already own a drum and need a new replacement beater, or buy a spare beater.
